Privacy policy
Actiiv helps you plan and do short exercises. It handles health and activity information, so this page says plainly what it uses, where it stays, and what you control. The short version: your data stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, we run no servers that receive it, and there are no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics.
What Actiiv uses
| Information | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Health data you allow. The iPhone app reads steps, walking and running distance, active energy, exercise minutes, workouts and your date of birth. The Apple Watch app reads workouts, active energy and your date of birth, and reads your heart rate during an exercise | To build a plan that fits your recent activity, keep suggestions suitable for your age, avoid reminders straight after a workout, and show your heart rate and calories on the Watch while you exercise | Read on your device. Not uploaded by Actiiv |
| Workouts saved to Health (Apple Watch app), including the heart rate and calories recorded during the exercise | So a finished exercise appears in Health | Written to Apple Health on your device |
| Motion and step activity | To notice when you have been still and suggest a movement break | Processed on your device |
| Your choices: goal, level, birth year, schedule, reminder settings, whether you use a Watch | To personalise your plan and reminders | Stored on your device and saved to your iCloud |
| Your plan and history: exercises planned, completed or skipped, and how each felt | To show progress and adjust future plans | Stored on your device. Current plan and settings are saved to your iCloud. History stays on the device |
| Sign in with Apple (optional): the identifier Apple gives the app, plus your name and email if you choose to share them | To recognise you across your devices | Identifier kept in your device Keychain. Name and email, if you shared them, are kept in the app's storage on your device |
You can use Actiiv without allowing Health access and without signing in. You then get a starter plan based on your goal and level.
Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never see your card or payment details. The app asks the App Store on your device whether you have an active subscription and keeps the date it ends on your device, so that reminders and nudges stop when it does.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not use your health data for advertising or marketing.
- We do not include third-party analytics or advertising code in the app.
Things that leave your device
- iCloud. Your settings, current weekly plan and today's plan are saved to Apple's iCloud key-value storage in your own iCloud account when iCloud is available. If you sign in with Apple, a new device restores them and your devices stay in sync. Your history is not saved to iCloud. Apple's privacy terms apply to that storage. We cannot read it.
- Apple. Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, iCloud, notifications and Live Activities are Apple services and are governed by Apple's policies.
Notifications and Live Activities
Reminders, nudges and the Dynamic Island exercise display are created on your phone. No health data is sent to a server to produce them. You can turn notifications and Live Activities off in iOS Settings at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Health access: change or withdraw it in the Health app under Sharing, or in iOS Settings.
- Delete your data: in Actiiv, open Settings and tap Delete my data. It removes your plans, history, settings and Sign in with Apple from the iPhone and the copy in your iCloud. It does not cancel your subscription or delete anything from Apple Health. Deleting the app also removes its data from that device. To remove synced data, open iOS Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage, and remove Actiiv's data.
- Sign out: Settings in the app has a Sign Out button.
- Access, correction, deletion: because we do not hold your data on our servers, most of this is in your hands on your device. If you believe we hold any information about you, contact us and we will help, including under the laws that apply where you live.
Children
Actiiv is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Health and safety
Actiiv gives general wellness and exercise suggestions. It is not medical advice or a medical device. See the terms.
Security
Data stays inside the app's protected storage on your device, and the Sign in with Apple identifier is held in the Keychain. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes
If we change how Actiiv handles data, we will update this page and the date above, and ask for your permission again where the law or Apple's rules require it.
